If at the word concrete you think drab grey slabs and 70s architecture, you are in for a surprise...

I was looking for information about custom concrete countertops and I found beautiful ideas that I wanted share here, let me know if you like them.

A 1.5" concrete countertop weighs approximately 19 lbs. per square foot.  As a comparison, granite is approximately 18 lbs. per square foot.

Some of the benefits include:
  • heat resistant(not heat proof)
  • stain resistant(not stain proof)
  • impact tolerant
  • natural looking
  • eco-friendly
  • durable
  • moldable
  • available in an unlimited color palette
  • many varied textures and finishing effects
  • unlimited styling and design options

Concrete can be earthy and natural, with a tactile quality not found in synthetic or stainless-steel surfaces. Because each concrete countertop is hand-cast, it exhibits subtle variations in color and texture. Concrete countertops can also be adorned with botanical imprints from real leaves or embedded with colorful stones, seashells and even fossils.

I would love a concrete desk just like this one, amazing!!!
